FAMILY CONNECTIONS: I’ve lived in the Albany Ward more than 30 years with wife Julie. Our children attended schools at Whangaparaoa, Westlake Boys and Kristin. Julie is a past president of the HBC National Council of Women, Social Concerns Co-convenor for the Association of Anglican Women NZ and early childhood teacher

EDUCATION AND WORK: Bachelor of Commerce in organisation, project management and business. Previously project manager for large private water quality and water saving projects including some of the countries’ largest organisations, garden centre owner/manager, product designer and manufacturer, author.

SPORTING CONNECTIONS: Interclub tennis player in the North Shore competition, past football coach and committee member. Representative on regional sporting bodies. Yachtie and past rugby and football player.

AWARDS: 2011 New Zealand National Champion for Toastmasters Impromptu Speaking and Regional/subregional Champion a number of years.

COMMUNITY: Member of community groups including RSA, community trustee and founding member Lovesoup Kitchen, member Bays Club.

AUCKLAND COUNCIL: Member of Finance, Planning and Environment committees. Also Regulatory, Community Safety and Hauraki Gulf Forum committees.
