We’re backing
Hibiscus People First
for Local Board

This Team has a great combination of experience, skills and commitment. They each have a track record of involvement in our community and share a determination to get the best results for every part of the
Hibiscus Coast.

A vote for the Jeff, Jayden and Dani TEAM will put three united and very committed people on to the local board who will work together for the benefit of all in our HIbiscus Coast area. We have teamed up to deliver a strong and united voice for the Coast.

We have policies and we have a plan to deliver better transport outcomes, more community facilities, an enhanced environment and strong local representation.

Let’s get people into our LOCAL BOARD who will
stand up for our area.

  • JAYDEN HALEY

    CANDIDATE

Jayden Haley will bring passion, heart and soul to the Hibiscus Coast Board.

As a long-term resident and home owner in Hibiscus Coast with his wife Elle, Jayden has a Landscape/Businesses Management background and thus brings a depth of knowledge to the preservation & management of parks and reserves.

Jayden has a proven commitment to the community through his volunteer work and his role in the trust leadership team of Keep Whangaparaoa Green Spaces which is committed to saving the gulf harbour country club land & helps manage the monthly volunteer days.

Jayden isn't afraid to get his hands dirty & will stand up for local issues such as keeping the gulf harbour ferry service running smoothly plus advocating for a 7 day ferry service, keeping and maintaining local green spaces, the preservation of the Orewa beach front, getting more at risk youth involved in sport and local sporting facilities, and future projects such as the proposed Weiti River walkway.

Jayden is dedicated to sustainable growth on the HBC.

In Jaydens spare time he loves spending time out on the water, indulging in new landscaping projects around his home and utilizing the local attractions that the beautiful Hibiscus Coast has to offer. Let’s build a thriving Hibiscus Coast together—your voice matters.

  • DANI DAWSON

    CANDIDATE

The Hibiscus Coast has been my home for 20 years —I live here with my son who attends Orewa College. I am a huge fan of fishing and getting out and about on hikes, to beaches, walkways parks and reserves. Nothing holds me back. I’ve been fishing with a broken leg before 😊

I’m standing because I want to protect what makes this place so special, while helping shape a future where families, businesses, and the environment all thrive

With a background in the construction industry, I know how to deliver infrastructure projects on time, on budget, and with community input. I bring practical skills, compassion, and a strong commitment to getting things done

My top priorities include better support for both our youth and elderly, investing in green infrastructure, and improving public transport and walkways — connecting key areas like Arkles Bay, Silverdale, Orewa, and Millwater

I’ll push for urgent upgrades to our water infrastructure to stop sewage overflows and protect our beaches. Clean water and safe stormwater systems are essential for our health and environment

Urban growth must be smart — with housing and infrastructure that respects our local character and doesn’t outpace services. I’ll fight to protect our natural spaces like Orewa Beach Reserve and champion projects like a new reserve at Archers Block in Stanmore Bay

I support local facilities for youth and elderly, new sports amenities, and strong “buy local” initiatives to boost our economy. Preserving our cultural heritage will attract visitors and support local jobs

Above all, I believe in transparency, genuine consultation, and putting Hibiscus people first. Together, we can build a more connected, resilient, and thriving community
